An Exciting New Chapter!

Untitled #2 - From The Persona Series (2022)

Hey, everyone!

I'm beyond excited to share some fantastic news with you! After a challenging 18 months with my health, I'm feeling renewed and (mostly) ready to embrace life and art once again. Starting in May, I will be painting full-time! How very exciting!

My ideas book is bursting with ideas (funnily enough) that have been patiently waiting to come to life. I'm also eager to dive back into the paintings I've started (there are quite a few!), and I can't wait to share this colourful (and sometimes dark) journey with you.

Exhibitions

I'm delighted to announce that my work is currently featured in two group shows:

  • Material Matters at the North Coast Visitors Centre in Thurso runs until September 28th. It's my first time exhibiting in my hometown, and I'm so happy to share my art where it all began.

  • Foresight at Elgin Library is on until April 29th. It's been a joy to exhibit alongside other talented artists in this space!

And even more exciting news!!! I've been invited to be a guest artist in the Bad Apple Collective group exhibition, Cat & Crow! Everyone who knows me knows that this is a dream come true, as I absolutely adore every artist in this collective. I can't wait to be part of this show!

Sneak peek below of the painting I am entering into the show, Carrion’s Lullaby. Still lots of work to do on her, but I am in LOVE!

Introducing My New Series, Post Blue

Post Blue—a deeply personal journey that emerged from the challenges I've faced over the past 18 months. During this time, a flood of inspiration and creativity poured into my mind and ideas book, guiding me through the difficult moments and helping me out the other end.

This series already holds a special place in my heart because it captures the deeply vulnerable and most challenging period of my life so far, reflecting the struggles and triumphs. The series is filled with imagery from my journey, and symbolism drawn from my subconscious, offering insight into my emotions and the lessons learned. Through these narratives, we can explore our shared experiences of vulnerability, resilience, and growth - celebrating our unique paths and the strength within us all. I hope you find comfort in these paintings and feel inspired on your own journey, whatever that may be. Remember, we're in this together!

(Extra points if you know the inspiration behind the title of this series. Answers on a postcard.)

You'll be hearing a lot more from me as I jump into this full-time art adventure head first. To be kept updated, make sure to sign up for my newsletter (at the bottom of the page). I'll be sharing…well, I’m not sure yet, I’ve never had a newsletter… probably sneak peeks of new paintings, limited edition prints, behind-the-scenes moments, and more….we will see what happens.

As always, thank you all for your ongoing support and encouragement!

See you later!
